Updates from St Botolph's
This article presents a brief overview of some highlights from the life of St Botolph's over the last few months that have not been covered in separate articles.
Installation of the Rev'd Philip Stewart as Assistant Curate
We are delighted that Philip has been installed as our curate, in which role he will assist the Rector by preaching and leading services. Philip was installed in a special service of Choral Evensong in February.
Successful concert series
Our Christmas concert series saw a range of excellent performers make use of the church's fine acoustic, and, in many cases, our Boston grand piano. The church hosted it's much enjoyed carol singer events, services and an excellent advent concert series with many guest performers, proceeds of which have almost fully repaid the the piano fund.
Details of our upcoming 2024 spring concert series will be released soon.
Book sales
Our regular book sales have continued to contribute to church funds, while delighting visitors with a growing and diverse stock, and delicious refreshments. Many thanks to all who have contributed.
Special services
Occasional services last year have included new baptisms and confirmations; a service in honour of the King's coronation; and choral evensongs.
Two fruitful collaborations with other choirs have beautified our worship: a joint service and procession with Corpus Christi College on Ascension Day, and a Choral Mattins with the choir of Clemson University.
